Stop beating yourself up! π
Recently, I was driving home.
It was late. π
It was dark. π
There was a truck π right in front of me and it moved to the side only to reveal, with very short notice, a massive object on the road that was too big to avoid or to run over without damage.
I hit it π₯ and it cracked off a piece of the front of my bumper on the side.
I started blaming and pointing fingers π at myself.
π"If you would've been in a different lane..."
π"If you would've been driving slower..."
All for something that was not my fault and beyond my control.
We do this all the time.
We all have lots of decisions to make. π€
Some of them in retrospect don't look so good. π‘
But whatever happened, it's already over.
We need to learn to let things go and allow ourselves the space to move forward, find solutions and live our lives moving on to the fullest.
Give yourself permission to make mistakes.
Recognize that nothing in life is going to be perfect.
There are going to be things you'll want to have back.
But if you make your decisions in good faith, you have to be willing to not burden yourself with the consequences.
